One of Exotac's products, the nanoSPARK, is designed for one-handed operation, even in the event of an injury. The flint is easily replaceable by removing the brass screw inside the tinder capsule, and up to five extra flints can be stored inside the tinder capsule. The tinder can be prepared quickly by unscrewing the body from the flint holder to reveal a quickLIGHT tab, which can be fluffed with a knife or pulled apart with fingers to catch the first spark. The custom-designed flint wheel features larger, deeper teeth that create a fierce spark, making for a quick light when the tinder is properly prepared. The nanoSPARK also features a lanyard slot, which can be used to secure the device to gear, around the neck, or to attach extra tinder such as a tinderZIP zipper pull. Finally, the device is waterproof, with o-rings in the flint retaining screw and the tinder capsule to ensure that the tinder stays dry and ready to use.
